For several years we’ve been growing this squash at the farm. It’s one of my personal favorites. We call it the Turks Turban. It’s a beautiful, colorful and definitely a whimsical squash.
Tasty! Tasty!
Turks turbans are delicious and there outer shells make for great soup bowls! Not to mention it’s very festive! Come on down, grab a few and try them out for yourself. You will not be disappointed!
Additionally…
If your going just for looks, the squash certainly will dress up your front porch, mantel and I’ve even seen it apart of centerpieces for thanksgiving dinner! It sure is a beaut. The imperfect shape makes it perfect. It almost resembles an imperfect mushroom.
What do I do with a turks turban?
Well me being a squash and pumpkin lover, of course I bake it!! It’s so yummy!! Just talking about it makes my mouth water. But you know what else I love to do with it? I love to stack it on top of my cinderella pumpkins on my porch. That is, till they make it to my kitchen. ๐ย Then into my belly ๐๐ป
